7. From the Delivery drop-down list, select Wireless.

Managing software configurations

You manage software configurations using the administration computer on which the BlackBerry

Manager is installed. If you delete a software configuration, it can no longer be assigned to a user. If you

unassign a software configuration from a user, you cannot send application control policies to that user.

Modify a software configuration

1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Software Configurations.

2. In the Configuration Name list, click a software configuration.

3. Click Edit Software Configuration.

4. In the Application Name list, select the check box beside the applications to install on handhelds.

5. In the Application Name list, clear the check box beside the applications to remove from handhelds.

6. Click OK.

Delete a software configuration

1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Software Configurations.

2. In the Configuration Name list, click a software configuration.

3. Click Delete Software Configuration.

4. Click OK.

Copy a software configuration

1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Software Configurations.

2. In the Configuration Name list, click a software configuration.

3. Click Copy Software Configuration.

Unassign a software configuration from a user

1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Handhelds.

2. In the User Name list, click a user to assign the software configuration to.

3. Click Assign Software Configuration.

4. Click <none>.

Tip: To make sure that a third-party application remains installed on a handheld, create and assign an application

control policy, and from the Disposition drop-down list, select Required.

Tip: You can modify an application control policy while modifying a software cofiguration by clicking Policies in the

Handheld Software Configuration window.
