Errors after restarting Mail Application

Occassionally, the error below will occur after the Mail application is closed and restarted.

Mail view displays incorrect fields in Subject and Date columns

When you replace the Notes mail template design, and the new template contains different columns or

different column orders than the old template design, you must restart the client after mail template

replacement or the mail columns will display incorrectly. Once you restart the client and open mail the

columns will display correctly.

Mini-view documents not shown in preview pane

Selecting a document in the "Mail Mini-view" in Notes 8 Beta will not display it in the Preview pane

New mail window not inheriting multi-row toolbar from parent

When Notes 8 mail opens a new window, that window does not inherit multiple row toolbars from the

parent window. The following example illustrates this behavior.

1. Start Lotus Notes 8.

2. Change to a new window theme by clicking File > Preferences > Windows & Themes.

3. Add two toolbar sets, for example Navigation and Address. The toolbars appear on a second row.

4. Open Mail and create a New mail message.

The new mail message displays a single toolbar row, regardless of the toolbar display in the parent

window.
